Absolutely amazing. I didn’t realize that they’d be playing the entire Fellowship of the Ring, but was pleasantly surprised when they did. It was an absolutely surreal experience; I had no idea how many people were involved in an orchestra - there was even a guy who was rattling a chain for the parts involving Mordor! They were pretty spot on with the music; there were some little differences here and there, but nothing completely different.
The woman singing for the Elven parts, or the part were Gandalf dies - she was absolutely brilliant and beautiful to boot. She looked like an elf - she had long black hair in curls and she was very pale. There was also a young boy who did some singing and he was excellent. Whenever he hit a particularly high note the crowd would clap for him.
Watching the movie with the crowd was also fun. You cannot believe how many Legolas fangirls there were in that crowd. I felt like the only sole Gimli fan out there - I had to do most of the cheering and clapping for him. Also, whenever Aragorn came out or said something people would go nuts. They clapped when appropriate and were, in general, a very lively audience.
Overall, it was wonderful. I didn’t get to see all the costumes and props because we were rushed in early - and by the time my dad started rushing us out they had already started putting them away. But still, just wonderful, wish I could go again.
